It’s going to be one of those days.  My satellite for my Internet service is acting up ….again.  I am so sick of dealing with these problems.  It has gone totally out three times this year.  The last time, I worked with the company for two full days.  It was frustrating because even though they kept notes on the problem, they kept asking me the same questions over and over again.  Each call took 30 minutes to an hour and I was told to call back in a half hour.  They finally decided that the only way it could be fixed is if I upgraded my equipment. They decided that a repairman would not come out if I didn’t upgrade my equipment by $300.  I told them I was not investing any more money with them because my equipment was only one year old and I had already put more than that into my current equipment.  My satellite started working about a half hour after that. I’m not sure why. 

I called today just to see if there were any taped messages reporting any problems.  The message said they are doing a download and it should be finished by the end of the week and that download was causing some issues.   

I refuse to call them and wait on hold to speak to someone in India and then be transferred back to the United States where I will have to talk to several other people who do not seem to know what they are doing. Living in a rural area, there are few options and I think this company knows we are stuck.  There is something on the horizon though and as soon as it available, I am leaving my satellite behind.
