Greys & Things

I love the library!  When I moved from a larger county to my current county, I was actually sad to leave that county’s library system.  I was delighted when my current county started allowing books to be ordered online.  It is so convenient.  I look up the book in their catalog and then request it.  If it’s available, it will be available for pick up on Wednesday afternoon.  I am notified by e-mail that it is waiting for me.

I know there are a lot of people who do not like the library.  They do not like reading books that others have had their hands all over.  Have you ever watched people in a bookstore?  People drink coffee and eat food while reading books.  It’s not that much different than having a book from the library. I’m just cheap, I guess.  I can’t see spending a lot of money on a book and after you read it, what do you do with it?  I have several books that I have purchased and I have not read them again. They are just setting on my shelf.

 Yesterday, I visited my library because they are having their annual book sale.  I purchased two brand new books that someone donated.  The books are on hiking trails in Missouri. I felt like I hit the jackpot with these books.  We love to hike with our greys and these books are great.  I guess it just shows that you never know what you will find at your local library.
