Suspicious Vehicle at 4 a.m.
I live in a very rural area. I am 20 minutes from the nearest town and you must take three back roads and then a gravel road, which many describe as a mountain road to get to my house. We do not have many visitors, so when someone comes down our road, we notice. This morning I received a phone call from my neighbor. She told me that she called the police this morning because a white van was parked in front of our extra lot that we have for sale next to our house. This was at 4 a.m. (The poor woman and her husband leave for work at that time.) Her husband told her that it was too early for hunters and hunters are not permitted anyway as this is private property. I guess maybe since the lot is for sale, a hunter might think it’s okay to hunt there, but it’s not. She called the police to check up on things when she arrived at work. The police report states that the person was contacted and left the area. That’s all we know. I’m actually surprised that the police came out and that the van was still there when they arrive.
It’s a little spooky knowing that someone was sitting on my property and I didn’t even know it. I’ve never been scared to stay here by myself, but I bet my nerves will be a little uneasy for a while now.
