Election Day 2008
I woke up excited because it is Election Day! I hope we will know who the president is tonight. I hated the election in 2000 because it took so long to find out the outcome. I am happy that all the election ads will end today. The phone calls from candidates will also end. You know what will not end? We will hear people on the loosing side say that the election wasn’t fair. I get so tired of that. It makes me want to scream.
There was not a line at my voting place. I voted around 11 a.m. The only problem I had was with the poll workers talking to their friends who were getting ready to vote. They were yelling across the room. The same thing happened the last time I voted. I’m a shy person so I just couldn’t bring myself to yell back and tell them to “SHUT UP”. It’s hard for me to read the amendments that we are voting on when people are laughing and yelling across a room. I thought voting places were supposed to be quiet like libraries. Obviously, I am wrong.
