Greys & Things

Jack cut his leg some how.  Greys have thin skin and they cut themselves pretty easily.  I noticed the cut on Sunday. Sunday evening, he played with it and caused it to bleed a lot.  I ended up having to do 5 loads of laundry because he was on my bed when it started bleeding. 

 It is such a struggle keeping an animal from licking a wound.  I have been able to keep his jammies on him most of this week and that has worked really well.  Last night, while he had the jammies off for just a few hours, he made it bleed again. Today it is warmer and Jack doesn’t want to wear them.  It has been such a struggle today keeping him from licking it.  I tried putting a wrap on the wound and that didn’t work.  I keep checking on him because today he doesn’t want to be in the same room with me.  I guess he is tired of hearing “leave it”.  It seems like it will be impossible to get this wound healed.
