Curls are back for me, but probably no one else under the age of 50.    Last year, I decided to perm my hair after having it straight for ten years.  I loved it instantly.  My husband said I looked like a younger version of myself.  Six months later, I got another perm at the same place by the same person.  It was terrible.   She seemed irritated that my previous perm had lasted six months. She used a different solution the second time. I heard another stylist question her about that.  She didn’t realize that I would not be getting another perm before six months no matter what my hair looked like.  Due to the terrible second perm and haircut, she will never touch my hair again.

Today, I went to Custom Cuts.  They just started offering perms a few months ago.  I found a coupon for 30% off and even though it did not list perms as one of the services, they took the coupon.    The perm is tighter than I expected, but I prefer that over being too loose.  I think it will be fine after a few shampoos.  I’m hoping it will look nice for Thanksgiving.  I also timed getting the perm while my husband was out of town.  I would rather be by myself for a few days just in case it didn’t turn out.  

I love curly hair.  I don’t know why it hasn’t made a comeback.  My hair is medium length and I just love having flowing curls again.
