When are coupons not worth your time?

Published by pattye at 1:13 pm under Living Edit This

I’m embarrassed to say how long I spent trying to get a coupon to work online.  Was it worth it?  Probably not, but I really wanted the product.

I rarely pay full price or full shipping costs when I place an order online.  Last night, I found an offer for 20 holiday photo cards for only 20 cents.  I couldn’t pass that deal up.  I spent probably an hour or so choosing the card I wanted.  I then went to the check out and the coupon wouldn’t work.  It was late, so I gave up and went to bed.  I was back on the computer this morning at 6 a.m.  I looked through the website and really couldn’t find good details about the coupon.  I tried it again and still it wouldn’t work.  I then decided that you probably have to order more than one order.  Nope, that didn’t work.  I thought maybe it was just certain cards.  Nope, that wasn’t it.  I clicked on their online chat.  Wait time was 30 minutes.  I didn’t want to wait that long.  At 8 a.m., I finally figured it out.  You have to have the order shipped to your house and not picked up at the store.  I finally placed my order for 20 cards and the final cost was $6.45.  It’s still a great price and I’m fine with it being delivered to me.  I hope I ordered the cards I wanted after all that time.  I tried so many different combinations that once I finally got it to work, I hit order.  I didn’t want to go through that again.
