Today has been pretty busy.  My husband and I went to town.  I bought cookie baking supplies.  Next weekend, my sister-in-law, mother-in-law and our niece are coming over for cookie baking.  It’s our second year doing cookie baking together.  Last year, I thought we would all bake cookies, but that didn’t work out very well.  It was just easier for my sister-in-law to do the baking, my mother-in-law washed the dishes and helped get the cookies out of the oven and I did whatever needed to be done.  I have a double oven, so we were able to have 5 cookie sheets in a time.  It was a very busy kitchen.  My sister-in-law is a really fast cookie maker.

I’m making Cherry Chocolate Kisses this year.  I think that is what they are called.  I will probably make them on Friday or before everyone arrives on Saturday.  I am going to make mostacolli and garlic bread for lunch.

This afternoon, I started out cleaning the kitchen but got sidetracked.  I did mop the kitchen which really needed it because my mop has needed to be replaced for a while.  My husband reminded me today that I needed to buy a new mop. Surprised  I can’t use the “I don’t have a mop excuse any more”.  After I mopped, I decided to look through my Christmas things in the basement.  I have been wanting to donate some items to Good Will.  I have three boxes of Christmas items, plus a train to donate.  I asked my husband if he wanted the train and he said “no, I forgot we even had one”.  I think we have had it for 15 plus years and only put it out three times.  It’s still in the original box.  I hope it makes some child happy.

I have never donated to Good Will and for some reason I am nervous about it.  I know they ask you the value of the items.  I guess that is what I’m nervous about.  I don’t want them to think that I think my stuff is worth a lot.  I will feel better after this first donation, I hope.  I have so many items that I should donate.
