Cookie Baking Day 2008

Published by pattye at 7:41 pm under Living Edit This

We just finished up Cookie Baking Day 2008.  We started a little after 10 a.m. and finished up around 5 p.m.

I’m not exactly sure how many cookies were made, but as you can see it was a lot.

We made Russian Teacakes, Cherry Chocolate Kisses, Peanut Butter Blossoms, Chocolate Chips, Peanut Butter and Chocolate Chips, a sugar cookie with pecans, oatmeal raisin and mother-in-law brought some cookie bars.  There was another kind that we made that didn’t make it in the photo.  It was a chocolate with powdered sugar.

Tillie, hubby’s step dad’s mother, died this year and the sugar cookie was one of her favorites.  Mother-in-law’s mother loved the Russian tea cakes, so we made those in her honor.  We felt like they were watching over us today and laughing at us.

It was a fun day, but very tiring.  It always takes a while to divide the cookies up. We always make too many it seems.  My sister-in-law will host our family Christmas next week and she will serve these cookies.

My niece was unable to attend because she had a basketball tournament this weekend.
