Home Again
I survived my journey into civilization yesterday. I thought I would be one of the few women getting a mammogram. I mean who gets a mammogram right before Christmas? Apparently, a lot of women do. The waiting room was packed. The receptionist told me that they had 140 women who came in the day before. I was told that this time of the year comes in only second to the month of October. Women are coming in this month due to insurance changes and things like that. I was there for about an hour and a half. It normally takes about a half hour. I will find out the results within 1-2 weeks. I hate waiting for test results.
After my mammogram, I decided to do some shopping. That was a big mistake. Traffic was backed up on the highway due to people wanting to get off at the shopping exit. I finally arrived at the shopping center and after circling a few times, I was able to find a parking spot. The economy looks like it is doing fine if you look at the number of people shopping. I know it’s not, but the stores were packed yesterday. Personally, I didn’t buy anything but groceries.
I wanted to stop at a fast food restaurant, but after waiting 10 minutes and the line not moving, I left. I went to another fast food place that is offering free lattes on Friday. I am not a coffee drinker and I did not like that drink at all. I wanted to try it and I won’t be having it again.
I finally arrived back home after about 6.5 hours. I was thrilled to be back to my “two greyhound town”. There is not any traffic here and life is less stressful.
