My Internet Is Broken
I started using a new Internet service on November 22nd. It’s a wireless card that can go from my desktop to my laptop. I really like it. Yesterday, I was updating one of my blogs and it quit working. I noticed it was flashing red and blue. It normally flashes green and blue, but not red. I checked my manual and it said nothing about a red flash. I called the provider and after explaining the problem to three different people, and uninstalling the software and then not being able to reinstall it due to a hardware problem, it was decided that I needed a new card. The technician said I would have it by Friday, 5 p.m. I asked him how that was possible since tomorrow (Thursday) is a holiday and it was nearly 5 p.m. He said they have next day service. He then realized that it’s very possible that I will not have it until Monday at 5 p.m. He said they will not deliver it on a Saturday.
I’m really sad that I will not have Internet service for probably 4 ½ days. I was really looking forward to working on my blogs and surfing the web during my days off from work. I am currently using wi-fi, but that is not practical for me every day since it’s an hour drive just to use it. I can at least get my Internet “fix” for a little while.
I guess that if my card is going to quit working, this was the best time to do it. I may have to miss work on Monday, but things should be back to normal by Tuesday.
