Camping Passport Program
A few years ago, Jeff and I participated in Missouri’s Passport Program. It was so much fun. Basically, you had to visit a certain amount of historical sites and state parks in each region of Missouri. When you visited the site, you stamped your “passport”. It took us two years to complete our passport because we traveled all around the state. Jeff enjoyed the planning of our trips. We actually had our 23’ foot trailer at that time and it was pulled by our Jeep Liberty. We hated pulling that trailer. Jeff would plan the trip so that we could park our trailer in a state park and we would take the Jeep and just drive like crazy all over the countryside getting our stamps. We ended up in some very remote places, but we had such fun. It was a great way to see the state.
We received several items for completing the program. We received five nights free camping, two nice posters, a fabric banner with iron-on stamps of all the regions of Missouri and many memories. We figured we lost money on the deal when you think of how much gas we used traveling all over, but it was well worth it to us
