I talk to myself.  I admit it.  I’ve heard it’s fine as long as you don’t answer yourself.  Well, I even answer myself.  I’m stuck out here in the woods by myself 12 hours a day, who else am I going to talk to?  I talk to the dogs, but they don’t seem to understand as well as my cocker spaniel did.  Sami seemed to really understand what I said to her.  Jack and Scout understand a few words, but not like Sami did.  When I talk to the dogs, I answer for them.  Is that strange? 

I don’t see talking to myself as a problem, except when I find myself doing it in the store.  It is so embarrassing to hear myself talking to myself in front of other people.

I hear other people talking to themselves in the store, too.  I used to think it was strange, but now that I do it, I don’t.  I sometimes answer people when they are talking to themselves.  I am not trying to be rude.  I am trying to help them with their question.  I don’t recommend doing this.  I have had several people give me dirty looks and walk off.   I guess some people just can’t be helped.
