Wi-Fi Revisted

Published by pattye at 6:47 pm under Country Life Edit This

I’m going to get this Wi-Fi stuff figured out.  Laughing   I decided to go back to McDonald’s today and see if I could use their Wi-Fi without paying for it.  My husband told me that he read that I could use my Internet card and not be charged.  The last time I attempted to use their Wi-Fi, I didn’t have my card with me and this particular location charges $2.95 to use their service.

I ordered my lunch and then sat down with the laptop.  I put the card in and it immediately switched to the Wi-Fi connection.  I checked the website that keeps track of my usage and noted what it said when I started.  It looks like I am able to use the Wi-Fi without an additional charge or without using any of my 5 GBS of usage that I am allowed.

I enjoyed my lunch while dropping Entrecards.  I stayed until my battery ran out which was about an hour and a half.

I would definitely drop more Entrecards if I did not have a limit of 5GBS  a month.  That may seem like a lot, but it’s not.  It quickly adds up when you visit other blogs.   I have tried turning off the graphics so that it doesn’t use as much, but the Entrecard does not work then.  Frown

I will try to include Entrecard dropping when I make my weekly trip to town.  I know that time restraints may not always allow it, but I’m going to try.  It’s also a good excuse to take myself to lunch.

Wow very interesting to know that, our McDonalds does not charge a fee at all, but of course I realize that they are a franchise and that owner can do as they please. That is just another way for them to make a buck I suppose, inflation.. lol! And no 5GB is not allot when your doing Ecard for sure, I can relate. Anyways I hope you have a good Thursday.

I thought they were all free, too, but it depends on the owners. Luckily, the card I have through AT&T allows me to use some of the pay venues for free. I did more checking on it last night just to be sure.
