Waiting On The UPS Man

Published by pattye under Country Life Edit This

When you order a package, do you track it’s delivery to you?  My best friend, Laura, and I do.  We are obsessed with checking the UPS and FedEx tracking systems.  It drives us crazy when a package starts out with UPS and then transfer to the USPS.  We hate that because the updates are not as reliable and it seems to add a few days to our delivery time.

Today, I have a pair of house shoes that I ordered on Tuesday arriving today.  I checked the UPS system and it said it was on the truck and out for delivery. UPS usually arrives here between 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.  It’s starting to snow though and I’m not sure he will make it up my hill. Come on Mr. UPS Man, you can do it, you can do it!  LOL

Laura said that she has a package that is supposed to arrive at her house today too.  She said it was just shipped yesterday.  Isn’t it amazing at how fast packages can arrive?

I wonder how much UPS and FedEx workers like the tracking systems.  There have been a few times that the UPS man has not delivered to me and put a note in the system stating that I wasn’t home.  I was home and when it was delivered the next day, he didn’t ask me to sign for it.   I’m sure he doesn’t know that he has a tracking obsessed person waiting for the package.  LOL

UPDATE: It’s now after 7 p.m. and the UPS man has not shown up.  The tracking system shows he is still coming.  I have my doubts.  I’ve left the outside lights on for him.
