Greys & Things

My husband and I are going through camping withdrawal.  We purchased a used Class A motor home last March.  It is so sad seeing it covered with frost in the mornings.  I imagine I will be really sad seeing it covered with the snow that is anticipated this week.

We have started planning our camping trips already.  We have Memorial Day booked.  My husband will probably book an April get away tomorrow.  He wants to go to St. Joe’s State Park.  It is a place that you bring your ATVs and you ride on trails.  We have never camped there, but have taken day trips there.  Our big spring trip this year will be to Abilene, KS.  We are going to attend a greyhound event there.  We are both very excited about this trip.  It will be the first time that we have taken the motor home out of Missouri. The trip itself is about seven hours.  We plan to go for the entire week and stay at a state park or two.  We hope to take a fall trip to Arkansas.  We normally camp about twice a month from March to November.  I’m not sure if we will be able to go that much this year, but we will try.  The dogs love camping and meeting people, so it is a fun time for all of us.

Yesterday, we visited our favorite RV supply store.  We needed to get our “fix”.  We didn’t buy anything, we just needed to be surrounded by camping items for a while.
