Another Day of Snow

Published by pattye under Living Edit This

We ended up getting 8″ of snow here.  We also received some sleet, but I am not sure how much.  We were lucky that we were not hit with the ice like Kentucky, Arkansas and even parts of Missouri.

Jack normally likes the snow, but this is a little too deep for him, plus it is cold here.  It was 10 degrees in the morning.  At noon, it was 19 degrees, but felt like 8 degrees, so that is probably why he did not want to stay out and play in the snow.  I wanted to get some good pictures, but he did not want to participate much.  I’m sure the snow was cold on his feet.   I take the camera with me each time they go outside because you never know when a good photo opportunity will occur.

I heard on the news yesterday morning that mail service would run.  I had to laugh at that because I knew it wouldn’t run for us.  Our mail lady has not come for two days and I doubt she will come today.  It doesn’t bother me as much as it used to. I have the Internet to keep me connected to the outside world.  If I didn’t have that, I would probably go stir crazy.

Yesterday, the turkey visited again and fed off the corn that I put out for them and the deer.  The birds have been visiting the feeders constantly.  I like to keep the wildlife fed, but when it snows it is even more important because they have a harder time finding food.

Here are a few of the photos that I was able to capture of Jack and Scout in the snow.

“I don’t know, but I’m going back in the house.”
