Greys & Things

Today has been a strange day.  My work has been really slow for several months.  I verify employment, so if people are not hiring there is not much work.  I planned on going to town as soon as I ran out of work because the grocery store is having a pretty good stock up sale.  I never ran out of work!  I haven’t had this much work since maybe September or October.  I normally run out of work around 10 a.m. and then I get more work around 2 or 3 p.m.  I don’t understand what is going on. Did everyone else quit or get fired and they forgot about me or has the economy turned around?  I don’t think any of these things happened, but it is really strange that I was so busy.  I would love for it to continue, but I’m sure it will not.

The dogs were strange today, too.  They did not want to go to sleep and that is extremely rare for them.  They wanted my attention most of the day. Scout normally goes to bed for the day. Jack keeps me on my toes.  He wants to have his bed moved to the sunbeam each day. He comes and tells me when the sunbeam has moved.  I am well-trained.  Today, they both just pestered me.  I don’t know if they are reacting to the weather or if they sensed I planned to go out.  They know when I put my jeans on that I am leaving the house, but I didn’t do that today.  I don’t know what is going on.  The moon is not full.

I am a tired person after working so hard today.  I’m not used to non-stop work any more, but I hope that it continues!
