The Kiss of Death
Okay, so maybe it’s not that bad, but that is what my husband says when one of our favorite shows is moved to the 9 p.m. time slot. You see, it is rare that we stay awake to 10 p.m. There are times when I think I will make it. There are just five minutes left of a show and the next thing I know it’s morning. Do you know how many shows I have missed the ending of? I don’t think I have ever seen a complete Dateline or one of the news programs in which they are trying to solve a murder. The person is on trial and I fall I sleep. I never learn if they are guilty or innocent. I have missed the ending of so many House Hunters. I do not know where these people ended up living. It really annoys me.
We missed an entire season of Lost. We were watching a recap a few weeks ago and my husband asked me how we missed so much. I reminded him that they moved it to 9 p.m. He nodded and said “that’s right”. Thank goodness it is on at 8 p.m. here again.
We are no longer able to watch The Unit. I think we made it through 20 minutes the other night. I guess we should give up on that show.
I was ecstatic when I learned that Jay Leno was moving his show to 9 p.m. Yes, I probably won’t see the end of it, but I have a lot better chance than now. It starts here at 10:30 p.m. now. The only way I see Jay now is if I forget to put the TV on the sleep setting and I wake up to turn it off.
The foster mom who kept Jack before we adopted him told us that he liked watching Jay Leno with her. We told Jack there would be none of that here. LOL Jack and Scout adopted quickly to our schedules and are usually asking to go to bed at 8:30 p.m.
I know the solution to our problem. We need a DVR!!! LOL
