Saturday Happenings
We are having another very nice day here weather wise. It is cloudy, but 73 degrees. That is very nice for this time of year in Missouri.
This morning, hubby had a doctor’s appointment. He needed to have his cholesterol checked. I went along as the doctor had asked me to stop in to have my blood pressure checked. It’s still high, but better than it was. He gave me a new prescription. I didn’t realize that my husband was using me at this doctor’s visit. He knew it was time to have his prostate checked and figured the doctor wouldn’t do it if I was there. The doctor mentioned it was time and I excused myself from the room. Later, hubby told me that he was shocked the doctor brought it up with me there. It was then that I realized that is why he told me to stay after I talked to the doctor.
After the doctor’s visit. We went to McDonalds for breakfast. We had their breakfast burritos. The chef was heavy on the hot sauce this morning. We then headed to Walmart. I picked up a few odds and ends.
We have been having a nice afternoon at home. I baked a loaf of french bread in my bread machine. I’m going to turn it into to garlic bread for dinner. I am grilling some steaks and will serve baked potatoes, a salad and the bread. It’s one of my favorite dinners.
We made our camping reservations for April. We are camping at Bennett Springs State Park for four days. They have trout fishing there. We also made reservations for Lake of the Ozarks State Park for the end of the month. We will visit Ha Ha Tonka again as well as the outlet mall. I’m looking forward to both trips. We have a trip planned for Memorial weekend and then our big trip to a greyhound event in June.
Hubby spent the majority of the afternoon working in the motor home. He loves spending time out there. The hounds and I enjoyed an afternoon of cleaning out a closet and cleaning the office. I think we all accomplished a lot today.
