Wild Middle-Aged Woman On The Loose

Published by pattye under Living Edit This

My husband is away and I’ve gone wild!  LOL   Okay, if you know me, you know that is not true.  However, I am being wild in my own way.  I went to town in the evening yesterday.  I normally go mid-morning or early afternoon, but never in the evening.  I ate at McDonalds and dropped some Entrecards.  Then, last night, I stayed up until 12:30 p.m.  I played a computer game until 11:00 p.m. and then ate cereal.  I watched Jay Leno who I rarely see since I go to bed at 9 p.m.   I have turned off the alarm clock and am waking up naturally or by Jack and Scout which ever happens first.  Yes sir, this is all a change of pace for me.  Am I the most boring person ever or what?  LOL

I checked UPS this morning and the sewing machine will be delivered today!  It was just shipped yesterday.  I am so excited.  Anyone want to take bets on how soon I am cussing at it?   Hubby says he gives me ten days before I say “Why did I want this thing?”   I’m thinking I may be cussing at it within two hours.  It has an automatic threader and from the reviews, many people said that was confusing and/or hard to learn.

I ordered the sewing machine from Overstock.com.  It is a Brother Heavy-duty sewing machine.  It is refurbished, but that doesn’t really bother me.  My computer is refurbished and has been great.  There were 46 comments on this machine and all but one were really good.  The comments were all on the refurbished machine which makes you wonder why they have that many,  but all but one person was happy.  This machine has so many features on it.  It seems like a really good value.  I opened up a credit card with them and received $30 off of my purchase, so that made it even better.  There didn’t seem to be anything strange on their credit card agreement and it is with a company that I have dealt with for years, so hopefully I don’t regret that move.  My final cost is $69.99 and the shipping was free.  The machine I was looking at elsewhere was more than this and it really didn’t compare to this machine.

The temperature today will be 77. Tomorrow the high will be 42.  Yes, severe storms are predicted for tonight.  The dogs and I will be sticking close to each other tonight.

That’s about all from this wild woman.  I will let you know how the first evening with the sewing machine goes.  I really hope that I can get the needle threaded.  LOL
