Friday the 13th

Published by pattye under Living Edit This

I was beginning to wonder if Thursday the 12th was bad luck for me.  Last night, I broke a needle on my sewing machine and then my machine wouldn’t work.  While I was working on the machine, I was also fixing dinner.  I decided to deep fry some breaded mushrooms and while I was moving the deep fryer, I spilled the oil all over me.  It was not hot, but it damaged one of my favorite sweatshirts.  I was not happy.  I immediately treated the grease stain, but the shirt still had a stain on it this morning.   I re-treated it and washed it this morning and I’m waiting for it to dry to see how it looks.

The sewing machine is working again.  Hubby helped me with it and found that when the needle broke, the bobbin holder shifted and that caused the new needle not to pick up the thread from the bobbin.  I knew the needle was hitting something, but I couldn’t figure out the problem.

Today, Hubby and I went to town.  We ate a buffet at Pizza Hut.  I always want to do this, but they only have it during the week and I really don’t want to go alone.  I went one time with a friend, but she would only eat salad.  I couldn’t really eat as much as I wanted with her just eating salad.  Hubby and I enjoyed it.  It was a little pricey, but what isn’t these days?  That was our meal out for the weekend and we both enjoyed it, so it was worth it.

We stopped at Walmart, Auto Zone, the shoe store to exchange Hubby’s shoes and the RV store, of course.  We also rented two movies from Redbox.  I had free codes for the movies, so that’s nice.

It has been a nice day.  Happy Friday to all of you!
