Camping Day 2
I’ve discovered that trying to update my blog while traveling in the Jeep is not easy. I did it last night and it made me a little sick to my stomach. I wanted to post more photos, but I could only get one posted as we were bouncing up and down on the back roads here. I’m attempting to post this as we are traveling again today. I know it will be much easier when I am posting from the motor home, even at 55 mph.
Last night, we ended up eating at Jack In The Box. Tonight, I will BBQ pork steaks and we will stay around the campsite. Jack and Scout were exhausted last night and did not get up from their beds to make sure we were still here. It’s funny how they have to check to be sure we are in bed when we are camping. There is only way out of the motor home and we have to pass by them to get out, but they still feel the need to check on us.
They are used to being in the same room with us at night. In the motor home, they are probably 10 feet from us, but it’s not the same room. They like to be close to us.
It rained around 2 a.m., but only for a few minutes. It’s very cloudy right now and the temperature is 48. It’s supposed to become partly sunny by the afternoon. I like cooler temperatures, so I’m find with it.
We walked the dogs down to the river yesterday. Scout loves water. She walked right into it. I thought she would jump right out when she felt how cold it was, but she wanted to go deeper. She laid down in the water. She didn’t want to get out, but I forced her to. I was really surprised that she went in it all considering it was cold. Jack even got in for a little while. He is not big on water and tries to avoid it.
Jack and Scout are both having a nice time. Scout really seems to be happy. She’s come a long way since she first started camping 18 months ago. She wasn’t sure what it was all about in the beginning, but now she really seems to like it. What’s not to like? There are long walks, meeting new people, good food and very comfy beds to nap in. She has it made.
Here are the dogs as we were traveling in the motor home yesterday.
Happy Saturday!
